I trained with Nurturing Birth in 2021, one of the UK’s leading providers of doula training and have continuing mentoring with Nurturing Birth to ensure I am providing the best care to my clients.

The word doula is derived from a Greek word that originally meant a 'helper' or 'caregiver', but now it's used to describe a non-medical professional who provides emotional and physical support for parents-to-be during the process of birth, during pregnancy and in the postnatal period. A doula cares for the parents so they have the capacity to care for the new life they have brought into the world.
